Plan for the day

Morning all - it's been a long time since I have blogged, I know! The plan for today is Christmas tags, inspired by Zoe on her blog:

If you are on Facebook, why not come and visit my page and do some networking. Would love to see you there.

Happy Birthday Lindsay

I've coloured and layered the tree, adding Stickles and Glossy Accents to the top layer. I'm comfortable with simple!

How to use cheap cardstock with promarkers and still get a great result

If you have purchased some lesser quality cardstock and find that your Promarkers (other alcohol pens are available) bleed when you colour onto it, don't despair as you can still use it to your advantage.

These tickets are an example of how:

In both these projects I have stamped the image with Memento and coloured it with Promarkers (you don't need to be too fussy with your colouring either).  The best bit is that to finish you colour the whole area with Satin or Pastel Beige marker which dulls the colours for a vintage look and also blends them.

The sentiment on the second example hasn't stamped very well because I have mislaid all of my acrylic blocks (d'oh!) so I used my finger and pressed a bit hard! It should read "For You".

My Pan Pastel Challenge Entry

I've had some messy fun today with my new stash from The Craft Barn.

I took a 5 inch square card blank and stamped the flower in the middle. I then masked it with a square offcut from the die-cut frame and a Crafters Workshop stencil, before a light spritz of Dylusions Melted Chocolate spray.

I inked the dye-cut frame and bird with Faded Jeans and Melted Chocolate ink then stuck them using the very thin sticky pads.

I would like to enter this into the Pan Pastels Challenge:

Die Cut Blossom Card

This card is 4 inches square and will need a box about an inch deep to protect the blossoms.

I have used 3 nesting dies to cut green card and patterned paper, which I have then layered in the centre of the card blank. The blossoms are die cut from plain cream card and then coloured using promarkers.

A Quick Question

I've been away from my craft desk for quite a while, but crafting has never been far from my mind. My next project is not too far away and will be a challenge for me [to be continued]...

So, I leave you with this question:
What 'must-have' craft item will always restore your mojo?

Feeding Time

Not able to do any papercraft at the moment but here's another photo from the garden.

As I haven't posted anything for a while (and archived some old stuff), I thought I would just share this digital creation. The photograph is my own and the finishing touches are from Craft Artist.
